On September 18, prominent Turkish surgeon Professor Kamil Yalçın Polat visited the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Surgery named after Academician V. Vakhidov. He serves as the Head of the Organ Transplantation Center at Memorial Bahçelievler Hospital and the Head of the Department of General Surgery at Memorial Ataşehir Hospital. The professor’s core areas of specialization include liver and kidney transplantation, as well as general, robotic, and endoscopic surgery.
As part of the visit, a meeting was held with the leadership of the Center. Following this, the professor led a scientific and practical seminar, delivering a lecture on his clinical expertise and advanced surgical techniques. The Center’s surgical team engaged in discussions on pressing clinical issues with their international colleague, fostering mutual exchange of experience.
Additionally, Professor Polat toured the specialized departments and operating theater of the Center to observe their workflow. This visit marked another key step in advancing professional collaboration and knowledge exchange between medical specialists from Uzbekistan and Turkey.
