Uzbek Surgeon from Zurich Clinic Performs Robot-Assisted Kidney Transplantation Alongside Local Doctors

Our 43-year-old compatriot Dilmurod Eshmuminov is a surgeon at the world-renowned University Hospital Zurich in Switzerland. He is fully fluent in English, German, and French.

He participated in developing a groundbreaking technology that preserves a human liver outside the body for up to 7 days, gaining international scientific recognition.

Raised in the Kashkadarya region, D. Eshmuminov graduated from the Tashkent Medical Academy in 2006 and completed his residency at the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Surgery named after Academician V. Vakhidov in 2009.

In recent years, he has been actively expanding cooperation with his colleagues in Uzbekistan, contributing to the implementation of modern medical technologies into practice.

Arriving in Tashkent to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence, our compatriot is currently participating in the first-ever robot-assisted transplantation procedure in the country's history.

In recent years, Uzbekistan has opened up to the world, — says Dilmurod Eshmuminov. — Great transformations are taking place across all sectors, and medicine is achieving substantial progress. It was this Homeland and these people who educated us. Now, it is time to apply the knowledge and expertise gained in Zurich to our national healthcare. I am ready to make my humble contribution to presenting the surgery of New Uzbekistan to the world.

The groundbreaking surgery was successfully performed at the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Surgery, which laid the foundational groundwork for the Uzbek researcher's scientific career. Following the robot-assisted kidney transplantation, the patient has successfully returned to a healthy life.

Looking ahead, Dilmurod Eshmuminov plans to strengthen his partnership with the Center to further integrate innovative treatment methods into practice.
