S.I. Ismailov, Director of the Surgery Center, was on a working trip to the Fergana Valley. The main goal of the trip was to study the state of the region's surgical services and assess the organization of surgical care and the performance of primary care facilities.
During the visit, the Director personally visited the Dangara, Besharik, and Uchkuprik districts, as well as the cities of Kuvasay and Kuva. In each district, he familiarized himself with the activities of district medical associations, the conditions for providing surgical care, and the work of primary care facilities.
Particular attention was paid to how primary care facilities interact with the public, identify patients with surgical diseases, and refer them for specialized treatment.
In the city of Kuva, S.I. Ismailov also inspected the operations of the centralized laboratory, which is functioning as a pilot project in the healthcare system.
Following the visit, a videoconference was held with all surgeons and heads of surgical departments in the Fergana Valley. The discussion focused on improving the qualifications of specialists, sending doctors for internships in international clinics, and introducing modern treatment methods.
A separate review was given to areas where modern laparoscopic equipment is insufficiently utilized. The need for more active implementation of minimally invasive surgical technologies in regional practice was emphasized.
