Detailed description

  • About the department

The Adult Cardiac Surgery Department was established in 2022 on the basis of two departments of combined cardiac pathologies and reconstructive surgery of acquired heart defects. During its activity, this direction has achieved the highest results. Today, the department performs a wide range of separate and combined surgical interventions on the heart and great vessels, including patients over 80 years old with serious diseases.
The department consists of 40 beds. On average, more than 600 surgical interventions on the heart and great vessels are performed per year. For the first time in the republic, an artificial left ventricle was implanted in the department in 2023 to a patient with the last stage of heart failure. The department employs 3 doctors of medical sciences and 1 candidate of medical sciences.
