Education
1966-1972 – Student at the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University. Graduated with honors from the Faculty of Medicine in General Medicine in 1972.
Postgraduate education:
1972-1975 – Postgraduate student at the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University.
1975-1976 – Service in the USSR Armed Forces.
1977-1978 – Continued studies in the postgraduate program at the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University.
1978 – Defense of his PhD dissertation at the Faculty of Medicine at the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University. Patrice Lumumba, specializing in surgery, in the Department of Topographic Anatomy and Operative Surgery (supervised by Professor I.D. Kirpatovsky, MD).
1988 – Doctoral dissertation defense in Kharkiv, specializing in cryopreservation, on the topic "Cryopreservation of the thyroid gland for the treatment of hypothyroidism."
2000 – Awarded the academic title of "Professor of Endocrinology."
Career
1978 – Junior Researcher at the Tashkent branch of the Surgery Center.
1979-1982 – Assistant Professor in the Department of General Surgery at the Central Asian Pediatric Institute (Tashkent).
Since 1982 – Senior Researcher at the Research Institute of Regional Medicine. In 1988, the institute was renamed the Research Institute of Endocrinology.
1988 – Head of the Thyroid Pathology Laboratory at the Research Institute of Endocrinology (Tashkent).
1989-1997 – Deputy Director for Research at the Research Institute of Endocrinology.
From 1997 to the present, Director of the Research Institute of Endocrinology. In 2007, by Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Research Institute of Endocrinology was transformed into the Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Endocrinology.
Interesting Facts
- Author of over 400 scientific and methodological works, including 10 monographs, one of which was published in English in Singapore;
- Member of the International Association of Endocrine Surgeons, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and the American Diabetes Association.
