On August 29, 2025, at the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Surgery named after Academician V. Vohidov, a major charity event dedicated to liver recipients and donors took place.

More than 140 participants attended the event, including over 50 donor–recipient pairs, 35 recipients, and 5 donors. In addition, about 40 patients who had previously undergone surgery abroad also participated.

During the campaign, all participants received free comprehensive medical examinations, consultations from the center’s leading specialists, and practical recommendations for maintaining their health and future follow-up.

 The most significant part of the event was the award ceremony for liver donors who showed courage and selflessness. At the initiative of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, they were presented with official “Letters of Gratitude” signed by the Minister of Health, A.A. Khudayarov.

The First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Alisher Boboyev, personally attended the ceremony and presented awards to the donors, emphasizing the great importance of transplantology and donation in our country.

Additionally, the center’s international partners — Arsen Yuryevich Popov, Aleksey Nikolayevich Lishchenko, and Georgiy Alekseyevich Yefimochkin — participated in the event, once again demonstrating their contribution to the development of transplantology in Uzbekistan.

🇺🇿 On the occasion of the 34th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence and the charity event, festive pilaf was prepared, and all participants, along with the center’s staff, were invited to the table.

 This event became not only a medical and social initiative but also a vivid example of state-level support for donors and patients.

 The Republican Specialized Surgical Center named after Academician V. Vohidov will continue developing transplantology, ensuring quality patient care, and introducing advanced international medical practices in Uzbekistan.
