A delegation of leading thoracic surgeons from the People's Republic of China, headed by Professor Fan from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University (SAHZU) in Hangzhou, is visiting the Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Surgery named after Academician V. V. Vakhidov.

As part of the visit, masterclasses and demonstration surgeries on advanced thoracic surgery techniques have been organized, including:

🔹 Uniportal VATS lobectomy for lung cancer (female patient, 60 years old)
🔹 Thoracoscopic extirpation of a pericardial cyst (female patient, 39 years old)
🔹 VATS uniportal lobectomy for sequestration of the lower lobe of the left lung
🔹 Surgery for hyperhidrosis

These interventions are being performed in collaboration with our specialists, aimed at sharing experience and enhancing professional skills.

This collaboration marks an important step toward the development of domestic thoracic surgery and the strengthening of international partnerships.
