The First Deputy Director of the Republican Center for Surgery, Professor Otabek Juraevich Eshonkhojaev, is currently on a working visit to the Samarkand region. The visit is aimed at ensuring the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-20 dated January 20, 2025. In particular, the visit focuses on explaining measures to prevent heart attacks, strokes, and other acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disorders.
As part of the visit, seminar-trainings are being organized for primary healthcare physicians. During these sessions, issues such as early detection of heart attacks and strokes, assessment of risk factors, timely and correct referral of patients, and improving doctors’ preparedness for acute cardiovascular conditions are being discussed.
The first seminar was held in the Pastdargom district, where 85 doctors from 48 polyclinics participated. Specialists were introduced to modern approaches to the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, early diagnosis, and proper patient routing.
Today’s seminar was organized in the Payariq district, with the participation of 94 doctors from 43 polyclinics.
During the meetings, Professor O.J. Eshonkhojaev emphasized the importance of prevention in implementing the tasks outlined in the Presidential resolution and provided practical recommendations on the early detection of heart attacks and strokes, as well as on delivering effective medical care.
Such training seminars serve to strengthen the system for preventing cardiovascular diseases in the regions and to improve the quality of medical care provided to the population.
