In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sh.M. Mirziyoyev, given at the meeting with the leaders of the healthcare system on November 10, 2025, the heads of specialized centers and medical institutions were tasked with attracting expert managers from developed countries, introducing modern management methods, and improving the efficiency of institutional activities.
As part of the implementation of these instructions, experienced managers from DK Consulting (Republic of Korea), who possess significant expertise in clinic organization and hospital management, have begun their work at the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Surgery named after Academician V. Vakhidov (Center of Surgery).
The main objective of engaging international management specialists is the further improvement of the organizational structure of the center, enhancement of clinical process efficiency, and gradual implementation of modern hospital management standards.
Within the framework of cooperation, DK Consulting specialists are participating in the optimization of the strategic planning system, development of digital management solutions, implementation of Lean management principles in clinical practice, and improvement of internal quality control and patient safety mechanisms.
As is well known, the Republic of Korea is recognized as one of the world leaders in the organization of high-tech medical care, healthcare digitalization, and the export of medical services. The application of advanced Korean experience will contribute to strengthening the institutional capacity of the Center of Surgery and enhancing its competitiveness at the international level.
The joint work plan includes a comprehensive audit of management processes, the development of an institutional development roadmap, training of administrative staff in modern operational management tools, and the implementation of KPI-based models to assess the performance of departments.
The management of the Center of Surgery considers this initiative an important systemic stage in the modernization of the institution and its further development as an international-level clinic.
