Today, an important visit took place at the Republican Specialized Center of Surgery named after Acad. V. Vakhidov.

We were delighted to welcome Professor Béla Merkely — a world-renowned interventional cardiologist and Rector of Semmelweis University (Hungary), as well as the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Adkham Ilkhamovich Ikramov.

Our guest was presented with a brief introduction to the activities of the Surgery Center: our achievements, advanced technological equipment, and key areas of work.

After that, a tour of the departments was organized: cardiac intensive care, operating block, interventional cardiology department, CT and MRI diagnostics.

During the meeting, the prospects of international cooperation, experience exchange, and the implementation of modern technologies into practice were discussed.

The guest shared the successes of his own center, spoke about the Resuscitation Program, cardiovascular surgeries, and innovations in cardiac care.

He also extended an invitation to the official opening of their new cardiovascular block — a facility where the most modern technologies and methods will be applied in the treatment of heart and vascular diseases.
