-Liver transplantation between relatives;
-Diagnosis and surgical treatment of complications of portal hypertension in patients with cirrhosis of the liver and extrahepatic;
-Operative methods of treatment of liver and pancreatic tumors: from palliative to radical operations, in particular pancreatoduodenal and hepatic resections;
-Reconstructive and restorative operations after biliary tract injuries;
-Traditional and laparoscopic operations for primary or recurrent parasitic diseases of the abdominal organs;
-Laparoscopic operations for gallstone disease and its complications, cystic formations of the liver, abdominal cavity and retroperitoneum.
- The department was founded in 1992 on the basis of the surgery center;
- More than 600 high-tech operations on abdominal organs and blood vessels are performed in the department per year.
- The department staff has been awarded the title of laureates of the first prize of the journal "Annals of Surgical Hepatology" for scientific research and implementation of new technologies in portal hypertension surgery in patients with liver cirrhosis.
- On February 18, 2018, under the leadership of Academicians F.G. Nazirov and S.V. Gote, the first successful liver transplant between close relatives was performed;
- The department team consists of 8 surgeons.
- The department is designed for 25 beds.
- Every year, our specialists are sent abroad for training and advanced training.
- Together with specialists from CIS countries, liver transplantation is performed on a regular basis.
